DR. LYNDA ROWDEN, Ph.D., C. Psych (Psychologist)

Dr. Lynda Rowden is a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She completed her graduate training at the University of Waterloo, completing her doctoral dissertation in the area of dual diagnosis (using social competence variables as predictors of outcomes in individuals with developmental disabilities, with and without co-morbid psychiatric disorders). She completed her clinical doctoral internship at Alberta Children’s Hospital.

 Dr. Rowden has worked in Peel Region for more than 30 years. She spent a number of years working at the former Peel Memorial Hospital in various programs, including: Pediatrics, the Child and Adolescent Clinic, the Adolescent Inpatient Unit, Adult Psychiatry (Inpatient and Outpatient follow-up programs), and finally as the Clinical Coordinator for the Specialized Preschool Service.

Since 1994, Dr. Rowden has been in private practice in our interdisciplinary practice. We are currently offering predominantly an online services via secure video conferencing. The practice provides a variety of assessment, consultative and treatment based services to children, adolescents and adults, with a range of struggles. Dr. Rowden and her team have extensive background in working with individuals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Tourette’s Syndrome (TS), Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Developmental Disabilities and Learning Disabilities. Mental health services for: Anxiety Disorders, Depression, broader Mood Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD). Indeed, much of her practice involves working with clients with co-morbid disorders and complex profiles. In addition to psychological assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents and families, she also offers a range of cognitive, emotional assessment and treatment services to adults in multiple areas related to critical incident management, stress, depression, anxiety and marital/family conflict. Dr. Rowden has worked long term with police and policing families coping with stressors, with PTSD, and their unique needs as first responders.  

MICHELLE POLSINELLI, B.A., CYC, RP (Registered Psychotherapist)

Michelle Polsinelli has been working as a behavioural consultant for 18 years and is registered with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario.  She is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrics and Psychotherapists. Michelle graduated from the University of Toronto and received a Bachelor’s of Art and Science degree. She also received a 3-year diploma in Child and Youth Care.

Michelle has extensive experience working in the field of children’s mental health in different hospital settings, including The Hospital for Sick Children and then for a number of years at Brampton Civic Hospital. She provides prevention and early intervention strategies, assessments, school and community consultations and treatment and counselling to children, adolescents, and families who may be in crisis, struggling with psychological challenges, or who are dealing with other stressful situations. She uses a variety of approaches to assist her clients, depending on their individual needs. Michelle is trained in cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety-based difficulties, such as school refusal, selective mutism, and phobias and uses applied behaviour analysis. She is also trained in understanding adolescent depression and suicide training program; safeTALK and other evidenced-based treatments.

GREG GRAVELLE, M.A., RP (Registered Psychotherapist)

Greg Gravelle, M.A., RP is a clinical associate with our counselling and behavioural service and is registered with the College of Psychotherapy. He brings his training in developmental psychology and over 30 years of professional service in individual and family counselling, emotional/behavioural assessment and agency/school consultation to our practice. His counselling is solution driven and utilizes elements of varied practices, including cognitive behavioural therapy. He has interest and experience in developmental issues, including: school challenges, adolescent concerns, ADHD, Tourette’s Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome. He also assists individuals challenged by emotional regulation difficulties. In addition, he provides counselling to individuals or families regarding LGBTQ+ issues.

IAN GILMOUR, MA, (ASD Therapist/Behavioral Consultant)

Ian has a MA degree from the University of Guelph and has done additional graduate level courses at the University of Alberta and University of Toronto OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education). He supports children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) through the use of positive behavioural therapy, environmental and instructional rearrangements, and the use of social-communication techniques (e.g. social narratives, iPads, and visuals). Ian does individual counselling with children with ASD using cognitive behavioural therapy, and his work is marked by a strong family and individual-centered orientation that understands and works with, not against, the unique challenges of ASD.

In addition to his work for Rowden, & Associates, Ian has had extensive experiences working for the regional training coordinator at the ASD-School Support Program at McMaster Children’s Hospital. He has worked in the governments of Ontario and Alberta, a mental health centre, agencies supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and with another private practice. 

NELLA CAUTILLO, MA, Psychometrist, COACH Program Therapist 

Nella Cautillo has been working as a psychometrist and an educational coach with our team. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2015 from Ryerson University. She went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Western University in 2018. Nella has also received training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for anxiety. Since then, her focus is on providing psycho-educational and psychological assessments to children, adolescents, and adults with a range of struggles. She has worked with individuals with Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Mental Health Disorders. Nella also runs the COACH program, which focuses on academic remediation and organizational skill development for children, adolescents, and young adults in college/university.

ININA GOLDENBERG, BSW, RSW, M.A.D.S., ABA Senior Therapist (Registered Social Worker)

Inina Goldenberg is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Ryerson Polytechnic University and, later, completed her Masters Degree in Disability Studies from Brock University, with a specialty in Applied Behaviour Analysis.Inina Goldenberg has worked with individuals with disabilities and their families since 1998, with a wide range of aptitudes, in both the public and private sector, in the following capacities: Residential Supervisor (various group homes); Social Worker (Geneva Centre for Autism); and Senior Therapist/Clinical Supervisor (ASD Achievers Consulting). Inina develops, trains, coaches and supervises parents, instructional therapists and staff in homes, schools and in community-based settings, while implementing Intensive Behaviour Intervention (IBI). Additionally, Inina facilitates regular psycho-educational groups, individual and group counselling, and conducts case coordination and case management task-related responsibilities.

ANGELA KRAPEZ BSc, B.Ed (Educational Coach)

Angela Krapez is an Ontario Certified Teacher with the Peel District School Board. She has been teaching various subjects including Science, Social Science, Math, English, and Special Education for over 10 years. She has also worked as an Educational Coach with Dr. Rowden for a number of years, specializing in developing study in addition to time and stress management strategies. Angela graduated with a Honours B.Sc in the Biological Sciences and a B. Ed from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. She loves working with students to create individualized learning plans to better support students reaching their full potential.  

MELISSA McKINLAY, MSc, BCBA

Melissa McKinlay is a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who has been working in the field of behaviour therapy for more than 10 years. Melissa graduated with an Honours BA in Clinical Psychology and achieved a Masters of Science in Applied Behaviour Analysis from St. Cloud State University. Melissa has experience working in a centre, in home and online providing supervision. She loves working with each family to create individualistic and unique goals, while helping to provide support and encouragement for every step along the way.

TARA FUNSTON, MSc, (ABA Consultant, Psychometrist)

Tara is a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT). She has completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an Emphasis in Linguistics as well as a Masters of Science in Psychology with a Specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Tara will be sitting for her board certification (BCBA) exam over the next few months.

Tara has been a long-standing member of our team for the past 10 years. She first joined our team as a psychology intern, transitioning to an administrative role. Tara now works with our COACH team developing programming unique to every clients needs. She is also a part of our Assessment team.

In addition to being a member of our team, Tara has experience working both one on one and in group settings with children with Autism and other learning and behavioural difficulties in clinical, online and classroom settings.

LOGAN HUTCHINGS, MSc (Instructor Therapist)

Logan has been working as a Registered Behaviour Therapist for two and a half years. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a specialization in Psychological Development from Trent University in 2021. Prior to completing her undergraduate degree, she began working as an Instructor Therapist and completed her training to become certified as a Registered Behaviour Therapist. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Special Education Teaching from Capella University. She has experiencing working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Rowden & Associates is a private practice with a team of professionals from a variety of disciplines who work collaboratively to address the unique needs of our clients. Clients can work with one or more members of our team of professionals which include: psychologists, registered psychotherapists,  registered social workers, board certified behaviour analysts, registered behavior technicians, counsellors, behavioural consultants and special education teachers. As an interdisciplinary team we are able to consult and collaborate with each other to better service your individual needs.
