Online Mental Health Services: Adapting to COVID-19

We offer our full range of assessment and intervention services via medically secure videoconferencing based and/or telephone. 

    Assessment, Clinical Intervention Services: 

    For almost 30 years, Rowden & Associates has been providing a range of psychological assessment and treatment services, counselling and psychotherapy based services, coaching based intervention services and a range of specialized treatment services for individuals with ASD and developmental disorders.  Clinical services are available for preschoolers, children, adolescents and adults. As an interdisciplinary private practice, we are uniquely able to offer a more comprehensive range of services to individuals of all ages, consulting across disciplines and designed to best meet specific individual needs. Our clients may access one or more members of our team and we work collaboratively to identify and address concerns in a professional, comprehensive and timely fashion. Our current team consists of qualified professionals including: Psychologists, Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers, Counsellors, Behavioural Consultants,Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behaviour Technicians (a team of ABI/IBI Consultants and Instructional Therapists), and Special Education Teachers.

    Our team has provided care to clients in the Peel Region (Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon, Bolton), Orangeville, the Halton Region (Milton, Oakville) and the Greater Toronto Area (Etobicoke, Toronto and surrounding communities) for many years. Due to current global circumstances we are offering  a full range of secure video conferencing and tele-therapy services. This has allowed us to expand our service area to the full province of Ontario.

    Our Services Include:

    • Assessment: Diagnostic, Developmental, Psycho-educational, Behavioural & Emotional Academic & ABA/IBI skill based evaluations..  Our team utilises a full range of both clinical (interview based) and standardised tools to support an optimal understanding of the individual client. 
    • Intervention: Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Individual and Parent Counselling and Coaching, Behaviour Management Intervention, and Specialty programs for clients with ASD or other Developmental, and/or Special Education needs.  For individuals with ASD, we currently offer direct intervention services using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Intensive Behaviour Intervention for clients who are able to manage an online teaching model, in addition to our now longer standing intervention options with an in-home based service model. We also offer a broader range of clinical intervention with a team with a strong understanding and skill base for individuals with ASD and/or additional co-occurring issues/diagnoses.    
    • Consultation: Preschools & Daycares, Schools, Agencies, In-Home Education, Workshops, Agency Conferences, Community Presentations
    • Educational/Organisational skills Coaching for school aged through to post-secondary school students.

We will work collaboratively and in consultation with you to set goals developed together. Our aim is to help families avoid the confusing process of seeking care and access optimal services designed specifically for their needs, and to support them as much as possible to avoid long wait lists and delays.

    We believe that early intervention is especially important for more severe problems and our team has experience with children as young as the toddler age. Concerns can also emerge at any age or stage in life. We believe it is never too early or too late to address psychological, mental health, (omit) speech-language, developmental and/or learning difficulties.     Providing Services for Children & Families

    Referrals & Fees

    We accept referrals from individuals, family physicians and other community professionals. For many clients, fees may be covered by your workplace extended health insurance plan and/or other government agencies (such as the Ontario Autism Program, WSIB, etc.

    Rowden & Associates

    Rowden & Associates is a private practice with a team of professionals from a variety of disciplines who work collaboratively to address the unique needs of our clients. Clients can work with one or more members of our team of professionals which include: psychologists, registered psychotherapists,  registered social workers, board certified behaviour analysts, registered behavior technicians, counsellors, behavioural consultants and special education teachers. As an interdisciplinary team we are able to consult and collaborate with each other to better service your individual needs.
